Biggest day of the year for me, and its going to be weird only watching it on TV. Quality distance race for the last, and a real chance to end the day with an exciting finish. Looks to be at least a bit of speed with Orderofthegarter likely to push on with Chapada and a few others, and by race 10 the better going might just be off the fence. Watched Zeborwski very closely last week, and think this is a very nice race for him. Sydney form, bias for the midfielders a possibility, and the Hawkes boys wouldn’t make the journey if he wasn’t a chance. Like the look of The Chosen One and Chapada, but it could be a race where Zebrowski takes it up to Orderofthegarter for the win. Sir William in the last, don’t ignore the obvious.
Good Luck

RUNNER COMMENTRY
NO | NAME | COMMENT |
1 | The Chosen One | Won on this day last year, and looks a really good chance again in this race. Great turn of foot, and looks to get into a good spot where he doesn’t have to burn it early. Value. |
2 | Raheen House | No favours with the draw, and the data says it will only get harder from there. Might be targeted for something later on. |
3 | Orderofthegarter | Looks the obvious leader, just unsure on how easily he will have it up there. Oliver can control a race, but at this distance in a Group 2, there would have to be some lesser chances trying their luck. Looks strong throughout the race, just not as sure about the final 200m. |
4 | Platinum Invador | Should get out OK and try to sit mid field. The data says he won’t enjoy the turn for home. |
5 | Miami Bound | Drawn awkwardly for her racing style. Likely to be pegged back on the fence. She can run a good time home, but will need a lot of luck to be weaving through late. |
6 | Mahamedeis | Looks to get out OK from the draw and might push forward. Goes OK at Caulfield, but if there is any sort of fight for the lead he will find it tougher later in the race. |
7 | In Good Health | Interesting runner with a bit of media hype. Looks to get out OK and challenge for the lead, or at least be on pace. She might be one of the early movers to try her chances before the turn, and wouldn’t be surprised if she finishes the race well. |
8 | Zebrowski | Drawn ideally and looks to box seat on a reasonable pace. Was expecting a lot more from him last start, and predicting he will bounce back. Made the trip down for a reason, and Sir Willam in the last – need we say more. Value runner of the race. |
9 | Chapada | Looks to bust a gut to get to the front early, and will have plenty of fight to get on pace. Great turn of foot though and very well weighted to fly home. Can’t see him not being in the finish. |
10 | Gallic Chieftain | Oh how he has burnt us before. Won’t want a bar of it early, and just can’t see how this race will suit him on his past few runs. Will need luck to navigate the fence after the turn for home. |
11 | Polly Grey | Needed to see more from her earlier this prep, and just hard to have her being strong in this race. Picturing coming from the back of the field in previous runs, she would need to improve a lot to turn the tables on this field. |
