New year, same data and analysis approach. Great to be back at Caulfield with a great day of sprinting for the lower grades. The 6th race poses and interesting jump out of horses that will want to lead across the gates. A few of the fancied horses are used to leading and being too strong. Looking to the mid fielders with strong acceleration, and really like the look of Hidden Legend in this race. With a better draw he would be shorter, and had a decent win at the same trip her last start. Dee rides well for Sadler, and just think he is poised to wind up a while out and really fly home. Other chances data wise look to be Paper Boy and China Affair, and can’t ignore Elderflower. Just don’t think its the type of race that a leader take it out, but being Caulfield you would need to be mid field or better. Sticking with Hidden Legend to be the class of this field with a freshen up.

| 5 | China Affair | Looks to get out OK but the gate might work against him. Doliver a plus in this situation, and can see this guy pumping an even time to line and being in the finish. |
| 6 | Paperboy | Another mid fielder drawn wide but looks to trail into the race nicely. Decent acceleration and can cause some problems late at a nice price. Value. |
| 7 | Messerschmitt | Looks to fall out the back early, and despite a strong turn of foot will find it hard from back there. |
| 8 | Deep Dive | Looks to lead from the draw, but will have plenty of competition. Looks like he might need the run, but with an easy time up front, who knows. |
| 9 | Ginger Jones | Looks to be one of the leaders and will hang in there late in the race. Just looks to be a tough last furlong for him. |
| 10 | Sapphire Crown | Another runner looking to leader early, and doesn’t look to be able to run the time to threat this race. Goes OK first up though. |
| 11 | Knowles | Boss on board, can rattle home, will just need luck to stay in a good position and not be squeezed by surrounding horses. Can put in a good run here. |
