What a great day of racing ahead at Caulfield, and what a quality field for the Group 3 mile. Some big names making the trip down here, a few high priced imports having their first real crack, and a local in red hot form this prep. Focusing in on two runners in particular here in Open Minded and Yonkers. Open Minded looks the clear leader without any pressure, and Thornton is 42% to place when leading at this trip on the Jockey Analysis Tool (JAT). He will be fit for this, with the rest of the field all first up. On his previous runs, even at this grade, he looks very hard in the lead. Yonkers catches the eye with a strong turn of foot and good record when fresh. He looks to be good value if the mid fielders have a chance with the rail in the true position. Sticking with Open Minded to be too strong, and Yonkers the value runner.

| 4 | Shared Ambition | Done no favours with the draw, and he might have to try and push forward and burn it early. Rarely puts in a bad run,and if he can tuck into a nice spot midfield, he has the top turn of foot in the race. Surely in the finish. |
| 5 | Earlswood | First start in Australian for this import, and Lan does rate at the top rider in this race. His last prep was mainly at longer distances, so would need to watch the market given first up over the mile. |

The Freeman stable rates top in this race. With the entire field resuming here planning for bigger things, and such a high SFR, you just can’t see him being caught. |
