Focusing on the 4th event at Randwick over 1800m, with good field quality and some very reliable performers. Wet track form comes into it, and some well rated trainers and riders stand out a few runners from the rest. Focusing in on Irish Sequel, Mr Gee, Gone Bye and Aleas on a soft pace, where winners have come from anywhere in the last few weeks. Irish Sequel carries Sir William who is a huge 27% strike rate to win and 63% to place when mid field over this trip on the Jockey Analysis Tool (JAT). The Waller runners can hunt in packs, and he looks like getting the gun run. The other interesting runner is Mr Gee who drops in class and has a lightning turn of foot. Expect to see him flying home. Gone Bye and Aleas also look to pump out solid times, although with their pace would need an even gallop throughout the race. Sticking with Irish Sequel and Mr Gee.
Good Luck

RUNNER COMMENTRY
NO | NAME | COMMENT |
1 | Our Intrigue | Won’t want a bar of it early, but she can work her way into the race in the middle stages. Longest of the Waller runners, and top turn of foot in the race, which demands attention. Just needs a good start and position in running to be a threat later in the race. |
2 | Kaapfever | Big drop in grade, but previous runs have been tough for him. Looks to fall out the back early, but can make some sort of run later in the race. Deep into his prep, would need a super effort. |
3 | Mirann | Drawn OK, top rated stable and should lead. Goes OK fresh on wet tracks. Reasonable turn of foot, and could put in a good run if no pressure up front.. |
4 | Aleas | J Mac rates top in this race, and the horse should land midfield from the wider draw. Just needs to avoid the posting. Data suggests he can just run an even time, and he is fit enough to sustain a good speed. Just needs some sort of speed early in the race to strengthen his chance. Surely in the finish. |
5 | Gone Bye | Won on a heavy track before, and should get out of the gate well and sit off the speed. Gate 1 a little bit tricky, and will need to hold the rails, but can grind out a good speed with an early bolt for home. Expect to see a good run. |
6 | Irish Sequel | Doesn’t mind a wet track, and Sir William and Sir Waller rate very well in this race. Throw in the top rated gate, and this guy will have every chance. Nicely into his prep now, and Pike is a huge 27% strike rate to win and 63% to place when mid field over this trip on the Jockey Analysis Tool (JAT). Rates very well. |
7 | Mr Gee | Top rated stable, surprisingly ahead of the Waller entourage. Decent turn of foot, and should get into a nice mid field position in transit. Drop in class, value runner of the race. |
8 | Spanish Point | Have to respect the stable and rider, but on previous runs there isn’t much data support. |
9 | Hemmerle | Drawn OK and should land mid field.. Data suggests he will find it a bit tough in the later stages of the race when it gets serious. |
