Great day of racing across the country, and what better way to kick it all off with a quality sprint race at Caulfield. Hard to know if there will be any rain, and you would expect there to be some sort of bias for the on-pacers. But with a few looking to lead early in a smaller field, you could expect to see every horse to get their chance. Like the look of a few midfielders that are better performed at this level in William Thomas and Pandemic. William Thomas needed a freshen up, and his best is very competitive here. Just needs some sort of pace in the race to have some space to fly on at decent odds. Pandemic might try to get a bit closer, and can finish the race very well. Williams at 30.4% to place on the Jockey Analysis Tool (JAT) when steering through the field later in a race. Athiri the other interesting runner to sit off the lead leader and make an early run for home, and might just be too strong to catch. Oliver 45.4% to place on the JAT. Sticking with William Thomas at the odds.

| 5 | Wisdom Of Water | Unfortunate draw for an on pacer. But decent run last start and will get more room at this track. Looks to run and even time to the line, can’t see him out of the finish. |
