The Autumn Classic is always a great race, where all of the Spring stars get back into it with sites on better things later on. Interesting race with some of the lesser chances looking to take up the running, and should be some sort or race early with the draws, and there just might be an advantage to be on pace for the home straight. Really like the look of Khoekhoe in this race. Can’t see him getting into too bad a position from the draw, and just really like McEvoy being booked to put him into the race as it gets serious. Decent turn of foot, and can see him coming off the fence early to get the ideal position closer to the fence for the dance home. No doubt there are questions first up, but he has done his best work over 1800m. Young Werther the danger to him but he just might get a bit further back in the run, and we have seen him be held up before. Just might be a few in his way. Butter Chicken benefits from the Motor Kah, and the Filly has the late speed to cause trouble if she gets the 1800m. Interesting KPIs for Milton Park and Parure, but sticking with Khoekhoe to take this one out over Young Werther.
Good Luck

RUNNER COMMENTRY
NO | NAME | COMMENT |
1 | Khoekhoe | Really like the look of this guy, and seems to get an OK mid field sit. Will be assisted by a reasonable pace, and we have seen him fly home before. McEvoy a big plus, and 1800 first up looks ideal. |
2 | Albarado | Loved this guy in previous starts, but not sure what to make of his last run and drawn wide. Has good late acceleration, but will have all the work to do in the run, making it tough. |
3 | Young Werther | Obvious hope and been big wraps on this guy. Drawn well to shuffle back and take a trail. Will need to wind up early to have a chance, but can’t see him out of the finish. |
4 | Milton Park | Looks to get out OK and land off the speed. Jockey rates well at this distance, and looks like he can sustain a speed. Might be able to hang in there late but would need an easy transit. |
5 | Narvaez | Looks one of the leaders, and will need luck to hang in late. Still, decent stable and rider to cause some problems. |
6 | Wise Counsel | Looks one of the leaders, but from out wide will be a task to get there. Decent rider up front, but doesn’t look to have the tank for this race. |
7 | Setanta | Should get up on the speed from the draw and challenge for the lead. Just not sure he can sustain the pace as they turn for home. |
8 | Adandiman | Looks to fly the gate and try to get across, and might burn a bit in the process. Might get some TV time, but the straight might prove tough. |
9 | Yuanno | Doesn’t look the race for him. Might get squeezed early and will struggle from there. |
10 | Parure | Another runner that might get a nice off speed position, and won very well last start. Lane a plus, and if he can control the race with the other leaders, she has decent enough late closing speed to finish the race well. |
11 | Butter Chicken | Looks to get a similar run to Young Werther, and will shuffle back early. Has the ultimate rider to relax in transit, and can rattle home with others. Big ask stepping up to 1800, but she can be in the finish. |
