Quality distance race for Race 6 at Caulfield, and two runners (Hypnos and Yonkers) in particular look well suited to make moves from midfield off a soft pace. Some value can be found using the statfreaks JAT (Jockey Analysis Tool) with M.Cartwright’s ride on “Last Week”, with a historical win & place strike rate of %16/%44.5 when settled at the back of the field in staying type races. Yonkers has been very impressive in previous runs, and can’t find a reason why today will be any different. Hypnos is another runner that is deep into his prep and should get an ideal transit, and his last start was probably stronger than it looked. Another Dollar posts some solid numbers, but leaning towards Hypnos at the odds.
