What an interesting race for the Orr stakes. World class horses first up, lesser horses targeting deep into their preparation and interstate runners making the trip for first up dice rolls.Sir Dragonet is the top of this field, but just not sure about this trip first up. He might just blouse them, but if he gets back he will need to wind up very early. Crosshaven looks to goods to start well and run very strongly to the line, as he has produced before. Only question is at this grade with Streets of Avalon tearing the house down early. Imaging is very interesting, where Waller sends him down first up from a wide draw. His Sydney performances boasted very strong middle sections, and this seems to be his distance. Imaging looks the value in this race as a specialist 1400m runner, and mist be better suited to how the race will pan out. Doesn’t look like coming off the fence for a run will be a problem, and by the end of the day there may be advantages out wide. Sir Dragonet obviously looks strong, but the price may suggest a lack of confidence in him. Crosshaven the other fresh contender to be on pace and has a tank over a middle distance.

| 7 | Blazejowski | Great win last start, and looks to do no work to get a nice mid field spot. Decent enough acceleration, just might get a bit tough late for him. |
| 8 | Arcadia Prince | Should get out of the gate OK, but only gets harder from there. Long trip for this race. |
| 9 | Sovereign Award | She doesn’t look without hope in this race. Step up in grade no doubt, but will be up on the speed early and from there who knows. |
| 10 | Crosshaven | Looks to fight Streets of Avalon for the lead, and you can’t knock what he did last Spring. Great chance to run well at this level. |
