Race 2, N1 Beast Mode – Knocking on the door after consecutive placings and strikes a very winnable race at 4th run this time in. Will press forward from the wide gate and enjoy a lovely run on the speed. He has an excellent overall strike rate having not missed a place in 8 career starts which includes 4 wins. He has further scope to improve and will look the winner here at some stage. He has the highest SFR (statfreaks rating) in this race and the 2nd highest SFR at the meeting. Martin Harley is going at an excellent 23%-win strike rate when riding in sprint races and a huge 44%-win strike rate when riding leaders. Martin Harley also has an impressive 30%-win strike rate when riding horses that are 3rd in the market.
Race 8, N5 All That Pizazz – Won well last start over 1200m in Listed company at Toowoomba and has since had a quiet trial in between runs to have him primed for this assignment. He is likely to settle off the pace from the wide gate and utilise his turn of foot late. He is super consistent and looks well placed here at a nice each-way price. He has the 2nd highest SFR in this race and the 7th highest SFR at the meeting. Martin Harley is going at an excellent 23%-win strike rate when riding in sprint races and a solid 13%-win strike rate when riding horses that settle off-pace. This is also Martin Harley’s best ride at the meeting as per our SFR.
