Huge day of racing, and what better way to begin the day than with the Hotham. Form lines are all over the shop leading into this race, and the stand out in Great House likely bypass this for the Cup (you would hope). Focusing on runners that are likely to run, and probably the only chances to take it up to the Waller runner in Mankayan and Le Don De Vie at odds. Mankayan looks to get a lovely run with cover, and will have all the space to peel out at the top of the straight and finish very well at the weights. The eye catching stats are for Le Don De Vie. Certainly not disgraced in the Geelong Cup, and maps to sit one out one back. Where’s Ollie is 36% to place from mid field at this trip on the Jockey Analysis Tool (JAT) and has produced a great run 4th up two preps back. Both might be advantaged by a few looking to lead the race early and creating some sort of pace. Great House is the class of the race, otherwise liking Le Don De Vie at the odds from Mankayan.

| 8 | Sous Les Nuages | Doesn’t mind the trip, but from the draw and on past runs, will be a tough race to feature in. |
| 9 | King’s Charisma | Jye in form, and one go at this trip for the 5YO for a win. Have to be careful with the imports, but this is a pretty big jump in class. Well weighted, who knows. |
