Another big day of racing, and reasonable field quality for the 3rd event at Flemington. Bit of a mish mash of runners in this field with different form lines, and looking for an advantage with the Jockey Analysis Tool (JAT). Two riders down in the weights in particular stand out in Jamie Kah and the apprentice Richards. Kah is 46.2% and Richards is 35% to place in this race profile on the Jockey Analysis Tool (JAT). Somerset Maugham looks to get a lovely run on a soft pace, and can grind out a superior time in this race. Secretly Awesome is the other runner that jumps up in class, but should be the one out leader. A big opportunity for both apprentice and stable to run a drum at a nice price. The other runner that looks strong in the ratings is Under My Spell that will be coming from the rear, but has the top turn of foot. Sticking with Somerset Maugham and Jamie Kah to be too strong.

Don’t ignore the obvious here, class stayer that can grind out a time, top rider, low weight, goes well at Flemington. Very good chance. |
