Wide open field for this year’s Vanity. No real pace predicted for the fillies, but probably hard to predict with various classes coming together. Sharpening the focus on four runners in Socialist, Bard Raider, Ancient Girl and Cardigan Queen. All four have a strong Stat Freaks Rating (SFR), and all are predicted to be mid-field or better. Jamie Kah aboard Socialist is an impressive 21% to win and 56% to place when mid field at this trip on the Jockey Analysis Tool (JAT). This filly rates well to sit med field and make an early run for home, and can finish this race very well. Ancient Girl an interesting runner in that she might get an uncontested lead, and the data suggests she can grind out a time at a consistent pace. Bard Raider and Cardigan Queen the other runners that have noticeable KPIs, particularly in their barrier rating for this trip. Sticking with Socialist to be too strong here on her Gold Coast run, and Ancient Girl the value.

| 6 | Throntari | Not without any hope, and off past runs has a solid turn of foot. Data just suggests that she will be back with a few others on a soft pace, and will need some luck to navigate and get running room. Could run well. |
| 7 | Star Spirit | Looks to fall out the back early and try to do the work late. KPIs say she doesn’t have the turn of foot to turn it around on a slow speed, and would need luck to catch the leaders. |
| 9 | Ancient Girl | Looks the obvious leader in the race, and can run a good time. McNeil in great form, and drawn the top rated gate. If she can travel well to the turn, she could take some beating. Value runner of the race. |
