Great day of racing at the Valley, before we set our sights on Sydney. High quality 1200m for this race, and the field has a number of proven horses resuming. It appears that there will be an obvious leader, and some decent horses coming from mid field to try and pinch the win. Really like the look of Pandemic in this race, with the statistics suggesting that coming from mid field with a strong turn of foot will give the best advantage. Oliver the prime pilot to hold a good position from the wide gate and cop some cover in transit. Peeling out from the school should give him every chance to catch Ancestry who might have to burn it early from out wide. Age of Chivalry and Usmanov also post some good numbers. The rails might be hot and the field has no chance, but if there is a chance, I’m with Pandemic to take it.

| 5 | Gee Gee Secondover | From the draw looks like he will fall back on the fence. With others circling it will be a tough race to get back into. If he gets some openings he certainly could podium. |
| 6 | Riddle Me That | Bit of a drop from the big time, and looks to need the run. Goes OK first up, but this looks too tough for him. |
| 7 | Pandemic | Great record first up, but first time around the Valley. Gate suits him to fall out the back early, and should rattle home late. Oliver the rider to get it done, and this weight and trip looks ideal. Looks very strong. |
